Time Lost in and out of love

Time lost trying to heal those who don’t want to be healed

Time lost chasing someone else’s dream

Time lost being selfish

Time lost  waiting for some big moment

Time lost being afraid

I can’t say the same prayers as you anymore. My prayers have evolved. I’ve had to let go of so much of what you told me. I tried to hold on, but your prayers were often sand between my fingers. I need prayers that fit my own soul, that lead me down my own path, for better or worse, it is and shall be.
